Full Spec vs Basic Spec: What's the difference?

Both versions are brand new, authentic Herman Miller Aeron chairs. The difference is purely in adjustability.

Fully Spec (Full Loaded)
Fully Adjustable Arms that move in three directions: height, depth, and pivot (swing inward and outward). Comes with the Tilt Limiter with Seat Angle, letting you lock your recline at multiple precise angles and engage forward tilt for focused task work.

Basic Spec
Height Adjustable Arms that move up and down only. Comes with Standard Tilt — unlike the Full Spec which includes a Tilt Limiter with Seat Angle, the Basic Spec does not have a dedicated tilt lock. Instead you control resistance by tightening the tension knob. Turn it all the way and the chair will not recline at all, keeping you fully upright for focused work. Loosen it and you can lean back freely to relax. It does both — the only difference is you adjust the knob manually each time instead of having a dedicated tilt lock.

Who is Basic Spec enough for?
If you do not need to change your recline angle multiple times throughout the day, Basic Spec is genuinely sufficient. The lumbar support, mesh, build quality, and comfort are identical to Full Spec. You are not getting a lesser chair — you are getting fewer knobs to turn.

Basic Spec is available in Graphite Size B only.

What size Aeron chair should I choose?

Herman Miller’s Aeron Chair comes in three sizes to fit various body types:

Aeron A: For users up to 1.60m tall and 60kg. Ideal for petite individuals and children.

Aeron B: Fits most users up to 1.95m tall and 100kg. The most popular size, suitable for 80-90% of users.

Aeron C: For users from 1.80m tall and up to 130kg. Best for taller and sturdier individuals.

For weights up to 150kg, the Aeron Chair remains functional. To identify your Aeron Chair’s size, check the Herman Miller logo on the back: one dot (A), two dots (B), or three dots (C).

The Chair That Earned Its Reputation

Trusted by 51,600+ Customers in Singapore

Here's what our customers have to say

PostureFit SL Back Support

Two pads, independently moved to support your spine's natural S-curve

Your spine's natural S-shape needs support at 2 key areas to stay aligned.

Bottom pad: Stabilize the base of the spine (sacrum), keeping it in its natural forward position instead of letting it rotate backward.

Top pad: Supports your lower back without forcing your entire spine forward.

Together, they hold your spine's natural S-curve in place, whether you're sitting up focused or leaned back on a call.

8-Zone Pellicle Mesh

Firm Where You Need Support, Soft Where You Need Relief

Standard mesh has one tension setting for your entire body. That forces a trade-off: firm enough for posture, and it digs into your hips — soft enough for comfort, and your spine gets no support.

The 8Z Pellicle mesh solves this by varying tension across eight zones, so different parts of your body get exactly what they need:

Softer, where pressure builds up:

Under sit bones: Eliminates numbness and discomfort

Shoulder blades: Allows natural movement

Firmer, where you need stability:

Lower back and pelvis: Maintains alignment

Side bolsters: Keeps your body centered

Ergonomics Specialists Choose Aeron

"I've worked with many companies on ergonomics. And one of my favorite chairs is this chair right here, the Herman Miller Aeron chair. When you buy the chair, it comes with a pad that slips on in the back. That pad is the best thing that there is, trust me. The headrest is a really great ergonomic feature you can add on if you spend hours at your computer for your neck."

Why a $600 Chair Costs More Than an Aeron

Most mid-range ergonomic and gaming chairs in Singapore cost $600–$750, but only last 3 to 5 years before the foam collapses, the gas lift sinks, or the mesh sags.

Because you have to keep replacing them, driving cheap chairs over a 12-year timeline actually costs more than owning a single Herman Miller Aeron.

Is assembly required?

No assembly required. The chair arrives fully assembled and ready to use. Our delivery team will unbox and set it up for you.

What's the difference between PostureFit SL and regular lumbar support?

PostureFit SL has two separate pads that independently support your pelvis and lower back, maintaining your spine's natural S-curve. Regular lumbar support only pushes your lower back forward uniformly, which can cause poor alignment over time.

Will the mesh seat be comfortable for 8+ hours?

Yes. The 8Z Pellicle mesh has different firmness zones - softer under your hips for pressure relief, firmer along your spine for support. Unlike foam that traps heat, the breathable mesh keeps you cool all day.

Why is the Aeron so expensive?

The Aeron features clinical-grade dual-zone PostureFit SL support, proprietary 8-zone mesh technology, and premium materials built to last 15-20+ years. It comes with a 12-year warranty. When you calculate the cost per year of use, it's often more affordable than replacing cheaper chairs every 2-3 years.

Is this a refurbished or new chair?

All our Herman Miller Aeron chairs are brand new, not refurbished. You'll receive a factory-sealed chair with the full 12-year Herman Miller warranty and all original packaging.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! Atlas Lifestyle offers 0% interest payment plans:

Atome: Pay in 3 monthly installments
Bank Installment: Pay over 3  or 6 months

All options are 0% interest. Choose the plan that works best for your budget.
